The Diamond Harbour School Board of Trustees is a voluntary group of people with an interest in getting the best out of our school. This section of the web site is intended to provide information about the governance of the school.
In 1989 major changes were made in the way schools in New Zealand were managed. The local community, through autonomous boards of trustees, was given the responsibility of governing their school. Boards became accountable for controlling the management of the school and the old central government bureaucracy was dismantled.
