Diamond Challenge
Congratulations to those students who achieved the Diamond Challenge last year. Photographs of you talking about your challenge are on galleries. I hope to see many more of you achieving the Diamond Challenge this year.
Calendar Art
Last term we painted landscapes for our calendar art. Thank you for your orders- this is a good fundraiser for the school. Calendar Art
What have we been up to?
2011 was a busy year!
Orana Park
We were glad the sun shone on our trip to Orana Park. Here we are in our unofficial 2011 class photo!
Kayaking
Calm waters and little wind made kayaking a fun experience for all on Thursday 8th December.
Sailing
Both sailing days were enjoyed by all the children, especially the Friday group who made the most of the warm temperatures and seemed to spend as much time in the water as in the boats! On Monday conditions were much windier and cooler, which made the sailing more challenging, but was enjoyed all the same. A highlight was a trip on the Weta.
Ferrymead trip
On November 24th we stepped back in time and experienced life as an early settler. We became part of an emigrant family duing role play, and also tried our hand at a few craft activities such as candle dipping, knitting and rag rug making.
Clip and Climb/Museum trip
We are all daredevils at clip and climb! Go to the Korimako gallery to see pictures of us climbing and doing the Leap of Faith.
Athletics Day
The sun came out and helped us enjoy a fun day of athletics on Thursday 10th November. The day ended, as always, with the house relay, which is always highly competitive!
Adrenalin Forest
On November 2nd we had an amazing day at at Adrenalin Forest, in Spencer Park. It was a day of high wire climbing and was a challenge for all, no matter what level pathway was conquered. Here are a few of our photos.

Congratulations to Gina, Suzanna and Theo who hung upside at 20m in the air to go through these barrels!

Zone sporting Events
Korimako students have the opportunity to participate in South East Zone sporting events for swimming (Term 1), cross country (Term 2), winter sports (Term 3) and athletics (Term 4).
Diamond Challenge Activities
Congratulations to those 9 students who have completed their Diamond Challenges. Diamond Challenge Assembly is on Thursday 8th December at 2.00pm.
