Diamond Harbour School has a tradition of providing a quality, innovative education programme for New Entrant to Year 8 children. All our students are challenged to achieve to their full potential in a family-oriented atmosphere which is focused on learning, progress, as well as fair and equal opportunities.
There is a strong sense of community spirit and cooperation among the children, parents, staff and the wider community of Diamond Harbour School. We all work together to provide exciting educational opportunities to all students so that they are fully equipped to embrace their learning beyond Diamond Harbour School.
Inside the classroom all children are expected to progress within their levels. Our staff, our facilities, and our programmes are aimed at encouraging and inspiring our students to do their very best and to grow educationally, socially and physically during their time with us. Children are given regular feedback on their learning and together with their parents and teacher set regular learning goals to meet individual needs. Within the New Zealand Curriculum these learning goals help to shape interesting, specific classrooms programmes.
